I’m Alex Cucchi, a documentary editor and producer with more than a decade of experience shaping long-form, story-driven work. I’ve worked with Ken Burns and Florentine Films on projects including The Vietnam War, Country Music, Benjamin Franklin, and The American Buffalo, and most recently completed photo restoration on a three-part series on the life of Henry David Thoreau, produced by Ewers Brothers Productions.
These projects taught me the value of patience, restraint, and close attention to detail. I’m drawn to stories that unfold over time, where meaning develops gradually through careful structure and detail.
Alongside long-form documentary work, I collaborate with nonprofits, institutions, and small organizations to create films rooted in real people and ideas. Whether working on a documentary or a branded project, I bring the same editorial sensibility to every piece. I also collaborate with other media companies on editorial, brand, and commercial documentary projects, applying that same sensibility to client-driven storytelling.
Longview Films is the studio through which I do this work, supporting projects that value thoughtful storytelling and lasting impact.
